Single mothers will be forced to name baby's father on birth certificate

Unmarried mothers will have to include the name of their child's father on birth certificates under sweeping changes to the law unveiled yesterday.

Labour's deputy leader Harriet Harman is understood to have expressed concern that the system would tar some children permanently by associating them with undesirable fathers.

When I read this, it was a case of déjà vu. I remember the CSA trying to get women to name the fathers of their children. The attempts were sincere but the replies were amusing.

One replied she was vomiting out of a window at the time someone came up behind her, another claimed to be "out of it", another couldn't remember how many men she had been sleeping with and as she was "wasted", she didn't even know who they were.

As they try to get the fathers name on the birth certificate, I have no doubt they will be greeted with the same responses. As for fathers demanding to be named the father, they are going to be brain dead, that's assuming they even know if they are a father.

Exactly. The poor guy would only get hounded for two decades for child-support.

This is the state wriggling itself off the support hook.Men get no support at all, have no say in abortion, how many patsy's will feel so proud of themselves that
they won't even bother with a dna test, the woman will elect the male most likely to financially support her.
