Minister attacks male dominance.
THE arts minister, Margaret Hodge, has attacked the “ludicrous” underrepresentation of women in the boardrooms of British cultural institutions and accused them of “paying lip service” to equal opportunities.
Hodge plans to advertise in women’s magazines such as Vogue, Marie Claire and The Lady in an attempt to raise the proportion of women running museums, galleries and theatres from a third to a half.

There is, of course, nothing ludicrous about a male-dominated boardroom personnel. This is normality. Why?
Some facts. Men and women have the same AVERAGE intelligence, true enough. But men have a bigger spread in theirs.
This means there are more intelligent men than there are women. (Even though this picture is also reflected at the lower end of the scale: there are more men of lower intelligence than women.)
Some details. At IQ level 120+ (which is "bright") there are TWICE as many men. But at IQ 170+ (which is "genius") there are 30 times the number of men.
So here we have it. This is why there are no female Einsteins or Picassos.
And, of course, it's why boardrooms are male dominated. (Of course, there are other factors, such as men having a greater aggressive drive to see tasks through to completion or to compete against rival companies.)

Have you seen the type of art coming out of our feminist run schools?,it is graffitti,has nothing to do with art as it used to be when students were taught symmetry,it has no standards and is childlike,anyway who appointed Hodge as another womans rights minister.She won't be happy until she erases the masters from history.
I was in the Strasbourg museum of art last week, for maybe about the 1000th time.
See some of the work there: Monet, Manet, Van Gogh, Picasso, Kandinsky, Kupka, and many, many others, centuries of it.
These men were WACKY. The stuff coming out of their heads was INCREDIBLE. The place sends my head buzzing, although in what way or why I can't put into words. (Why put into it words?)
The thing is this. The brains of men and women are structured and wired-up differently.
The brain is split into 2 halves, left and right. And these play different roles. The left brain handles ideas such as words and sequences. The right is visual, spatially-aware and creative.
Men are predominantly right-brained. (There are a tiny number of exceptions.) This is why the greatest scientists, mathematicians and artists throughout history have been men. It's why the best footballers, boxers and drivers are men.
Women are predominantly left-brained. (This is, again, with a few exceptions.) This is why girls pick up good reading and writing skills early on. It why women talk a lot. (Men talk an average of 2000 words a day. Women talk 7000.)
This why women struggle to park a car when it's second nature to a man.
And this is why the work of Kupka and Kandinsky can send a man's head into buzz.
But when was all this discovered? Recently, no doubt?
No. It's been known for decades. It just isn't publicized. The popular media and politicians have their PC agendas to follow.
This is why we are constantly told the rubbish we are told, and why idiots like Hodge are pushing their PC agendas, despite the copious evidence against them, and despite the inevitable social and economic problems they will give rise to.

@ brusselslout: Interesting point you make about the variations between the male and female brains, particularly with relation to IQ.
However, the simple fact that men are more devoted to their careers should be reason ENOUGH to explain the boardroom disparity, let alone the mental differences. I'm quite surprised that females represent as much as 1/3. It sounds like some rigging must have already gone on to ensure so many.
Is this the same Margaret Hodge who I think was found guilty of sexual discrimination a year or so ago ?
If you discriminate in favour of women it's not discrimination.
